The Blender's Art

Most wine lovers want the name of a grape on their wine labels - "Cabernet Sauvignon", or "Chardonnay", for example.  But many of the world's best wines are actually blends of several grapes, what the French call a "Cuvee" and the Italian's call "Uvaggio".

Come join us as we review two French regions well known for their blending – Bordeaux and the Rhône Valley.  Then we'll taste local, unblended wines to gain a better understanding of what each varietal contributes to a blend.  Each attendee will end the night by blending their own cuvee in the style of a well-known Rhone wine of your choice.
