This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet Enrique Toso, from the famed Pascual Toso Wineries, Mendoza, Argentina. Come sample the great wines of

this region from the winery founded by Enrique’s grandfather in the 1890s. The Maipu region, where the Toso winery “Las Barrancas“ is located, is today considered by technicians to be the prime wine-producing area of Argentina.

Very fine, with interesting herbal note suggesting fennel. The flavors are vibrant and punchy, with a crisp but powerful mid-palate punch of fruit, with lots of lemony concentration before a racy grapefruit acidity.

Porcini Mushroom Tarte (3-cheese tarte for non-mushroom eaters)

A fresh modern style, with ripe blackberry and boysenberry flavors, backed by

sweet toast and spicy notes. Full expression of the fruit. 06 vintage 91 pts.

Braised Lamb Ossobucco

Pascual Toso Alta Syrah 2006

Bold, jammy raspberry fruit, with a thick, silky backing of richer blackcurrant, and the oak really quite delicate, adding just a touch of charry spice. The palate has good acidity, with a real vibrancy and tang, with lots of flesh and richness, and chocolaty tannins combining with some charry oak to support and add spicy depth.
