| Continuing with our culinary theme...let's explore the Raw Foods Movement this time. It's hot outside, so who feels like spending time slaving over a hot stove, or even the grill, for that matter? We will be preparing a series of light dishes, served cold or at room temperature, and pairing them with crisp and refreshing wines. We will discuss safe food handling for raw ingredients, seasonal cooking, and sustainable agriculture. We will also do some sort of initial tasting, such as a variety of fresh herbs. Menu may change slightly depending what is fresh at the market that week.)
Because these events are small, I am asking for payment in advance so that I may purchase the ingredients and wine. Also, as with all our in-home events, you must have attended a prior public event in order to RSVP Yes to a home event. For Sunday Dinners, you must not have attended the previous month's Sunday Dinner. With such a limited number of seats, I want to give as many people a chance as are interested.

Event cost is $25/person, and past participants will attest to not leaving hungry! You may pay through PayPal (+ $2 service charge), send me a check for $25 (no service charge for checks), or give me cash/check at another event. Payment must be received by 8/23 to hold your spot. Please be considerate, as we often have a waiting list. Please e-mail me for address to mail check if you don't already have it. I will send directions to my house to all paid YES RSVPs a week before the event. |
