French wines often intimidate people because they think they’re so difficult to learn. But you don’t have to memorize all the Grand Cru Burgundies to recognize a great pinot noir. Join wine educator and enthusiast Robere Hernandez to learn and taste wines from the French countryside in an informative and enjoyable wine class in a secluded Edwardian backyard garden at 1347 Minna Street in the Mission district of San Francisco. You’ll taste a treasure trove of fine French wines—from Champagne to Burgundy and Bordeaux to Sauternes--and plenty of appetizers to complement them.
