| The 2008 Telluride Festival of the Arts, sponsored and organized by Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association, will delight for both food and art lovers alike. Culinary admirers and fine arts aficionados will come together to share a common passion for food, art and entertainment. Highlights of the 2008 Festival will include celebrity chef demonstrations with , food seminars, a showcase dinner and grand tasting along with a nationally juried art exhibit organized by the producers of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, one of the nation's most well known and most competitive outdoor juried arts festivals.
A special addition to the 2008 festival is a free concert with Taj Mahal and the Trio Band on Friday, August 15 at 6 p.m. Held on Sunset Plaza, this two-time Grammy winner will add some blues and roots to the festival.
Celebrity chefs include Ilan Hall, winner of Season Two of Bravo TV’s Top Chef, Betty Fraser and Josie Smith Malave, who were both finalists from Season Two of Bravo TV’s Top Chef, and Chef Mary Ann Esposito, host of the longest running cooking show on television, PBS’ Ciao Italia. These experts are joined by well-known Mountain Village, Telluride and Denver executive chefs, including Alejandro Barreda (Las Montañas - Telluride), Troy Guard (TAG – Denver), Elise Wiggins (Panzano – Denver) and Kelly Patton (9545 – Mountain Village).
The art show, August 15-17, 2008, is open to the public and will feature artists in 13 different media categories including: ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics and printmaking, jewelry, metal-works, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and wood.
